Tuesday was “Boycott SeaWorld” Day, and we brought our A game. But we weren’t the only ones, as compassionate people around the world—including some of our favorite celebrities—took action for the orcas, dolphins, sharks, and other marine animals who’re cruelly confined at SeaWorld‘s parks.

Why should #boycottseaworldday be the reason for Seaworld's closure in 2018?

Stars used their fame and influence to tell millions why they’re choosing to #BoycottSeaWorld:

Footballer Chad Johnson, actors Ruby Rose and Alicia Silverstone, model Crystal Hefner, and others retweeted our first #BoycottSeaWorldDay tweet of the day:

PAPER Magazine and Billboard even got in on the action, sharing our new feature with Bella Thorne:

Other compassionate folks around the globe took to Twitter to blast SeaWorld and its cruel ways:

Local Florida activists stood outside the company’s Orlando park to ask passersby to boycott SeaWorld and to urge it to move the orcas to seaside sanctuaries:

Thanks to everyone who came out for Boycott Seaworld Day yesterday, which took place at all of the #Seaworld parks across the country. #BoycottSeaworldDay

And you know that PETA got in on the action. We went live on Facebook not once but twice—first, to share footage from our San Antonio demo …

We even created a Facebook frame so that folks could tell the world (or at least the internet) that they’re boycotting SeaWorld:

In this powerful image, a woman holds tightly onto her loyal dog as they both stand tall against the backdrop of a breathtaking sunset. Forgoing words, their presence alone speaks volumes, conveying their

A couple passionately advocates for #boycottseaworldday as they stand united.

peta2—PETA’s youth program—came up with a clever way to encourage its followers to dump on SeaWorld:

Seaworld treats animals like crap one orcas have died #boycottseaworldday.

peta2 asked its members to take a picture of a toilet and tag a SeaWorld park, and they did not disappoint.

And, of course, we joined our fellow SeaWorld haters on Twitter to share a few thoughts of our own:
